Indeed, the 15th Dakar Rally for Juan Pedrero, and this one is going to be very special. Juan is going to run in the ORIGINAL BY MOTUL category, which means having no assistance. In other words, Juan will have to manage alone, using only a minimum of resources considered fair by the Organisation; and he’ll even have to sleep on the floor.
Paradoxically, even if Juan wins this category, the Dakar organisation will consider him for the general classification only. This is because Dakar considers Juan an elite driver and any victory he obtains in the Original category will not be included in his corresponding classification. That's how strange these Dakar rules are.
However, we will follow him every day and count his successes in our private account.
Some additional news: the entire 2023 season, Dakar excluded, will be with Harley Davidson, specifically on the back of the Pan America 1250, 1000 Dunas Rally and Baja Aragón, etc.; all these tests with a Maxi-Trail category series motorcycle.
