Dear Customers,
As you already know, following the departure of the United Kingdom from the EU, all security components exported to the United Kingdom need to be certified according to the UKCA marking scheme, with the CE marking due to be invalid as of January 1st, 2023.
However, there has been an important update in this regard. The UK Government has announced that the CE marking will be accepted in the UK market for a further 2 years, until December 31st, 2024; representing a 2 year extension from the previous deadline. The legislation is currently in the process of parliamentary approval, but we expect it to be passed shortly.
More information on this matter can be found at the following link: https://www.gov.uk/government/news/businesses-to-be-given-uk-product-marking-flexibility
Dynatech will continue to take the necessary steps to transpose the current certifications, according to the EN 81-20 and EN 81-50 standards, to the new UKCA certificates for all our products. Despite this announcement, we are not going to change our planned schedule, which has been held up by continued bureaucratic delays in the processing and granting of accreditations by the UK Government.
Regards,
